Shopify app
Store Locator – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 April 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Anywwwhere (“we”, “us”) processes information when you install or use the Store Locator application (the “App”) on your Shopify store. The App is available through the Shopify App Store and runs in connection with Shopify’s services.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.
2. Data controller
For personal data we process in relation to operating the App and supporting merchants, the data controller is:
Anywwwhere
43 B rue Michel Grimault, 44110 Châteaubriant, France
Email: contact@anywwwhere.com
If you are a merchant, you remain responsible for your own privacy notices and for lawful processing of your customers’ personal data in your store, including any data you configure through the App.
3. Information we process
Depending on how you use the App and Shopify’s platform, we may process:
- Store and account identifiers provided by Shopify when you install or authenticate the App (for example shop domain, shop ID, and tokens or identifiers needed to access the Admin API on your behalf).
- Data you create or manage with the App, such as metaobject definitions, metaobjects, product metafields, and related store content used for store-locator or mapping features. This may include business contact information or location details you choose to publish (for example store names, addresses, or coordinates).
- Technical and operational data such as timestamps, app configuration, error logs strictly necessary to operate and secure the App, and compliance with Shopify’s platform requirements.
We do not use the App to sell merchants’ data or to profile end-customers for unrelated advertising. Processing is limited to providing the App’s functionality unless otherwise stated here or required by law.
4. Purposes and legal bases (EEA/UK)
We process the information above to:
- Install, authenticate, and operate the App with your Shopify store;
- Create and update the store data you configure (for example metaobjects and related resources);
- Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations;
- Respond to support requests you send us (typically on the basis of our legitimate interests or, where applicable, contract).
Where GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (operating a secure service and limited internal analytics tied to the App), and legal obligations where required.
5. Shopify and subprocessors
The App relies on Shopify. Shopify processes merchant and store data under its own terms and privacy policy. We access store data only through Shopify’s APIs and within the permissions you grant at installation (and any updates you approve).
We may use trusted infrastructure or service providers (for example hosting, logging, or email) to run the App. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
6. Data retention and uninstallation
We retain information only as long as needed to provide the App and meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. When you uninstall the App, Shopify may notify us so we can remove or anonymise associated app data on our systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup rotation and legal holds.
Content written into your Shopify store (for example metaobjects or metafields) may remain in your store after uninstall unless you delete it in Shopify Admin; uninstallation does not automatically erase historical data you already stored in Shopify.
7. International transfers
If we transfer data outside the European Economic Area, we use appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights relating to data we process as controller, contact us at contact@anywwwhere.com. Requests concerning personal data processed only by Shopify should be directed to Shopify as appropriate.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
10. Children
The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data through the App.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App, Shopify, or email where appropriate.
12. Contact
